About Us

Started from a small room in the family home of husband and wife team Alex and Yvonne Peters, APM has grown to be one of the most enduring and reliable names in the printing machinery marketplace.

Alex’s experience in the printing industry is life long.  He began his printing apprenticeship at 16 and was awarded Apprentice of the Year 1971 before moving on to sales, working with new machinery brands Komori, Heidelberg, Fuji and Shinohara. 

APM was born in 1989 out of a request to sell a used press on behalf of a customer.  Up until that time the second hand machinery market lay largely untapped so with this opportunity Alex and Yvonne saw the potential to create a business in this niche market.

Creating relationships with international dealers, APM expanded to buy and sell equipment not only for the domestic market but worldwide.  In addition to our sales team we employ and contract a number of engineers to handle all our installations, dismantling and packing, as well as specialist machinery moving contractors and shipping agents for all our transportation requirements.

The team at APM are passionate about the printing industry and believe in investing in it’s future.  We are Patrons of Pride In Print, members of PrintNZ and proud sponsors of a number of industry and community based initiatives.
